It all began in a pub called The Toby Jug. It doesn't exist anymore, demolished in 2002 (almost 30 years to the day Bowie performed as Ziggy) to make way for flats. But in its hey-day it played host to bands on their way up, including Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin and Jethro Tull.
